Summer Solstice108 Sun Salutations
No Pressure | Just Fun!
Celebrate the Summer Solstice!
Longest Day of the Year | First Day of Summer | International Day of Yoga
Join us on Friday, June 21st to celebrate the summer solstice with 108 Sun Salutations.
No Pressure | Just Joy!
Just like all the classes at Yoga in ME, this event is meant for you to do as much or as little as you choose to do. Some of us will choose to do all the sun salutations. Some of us will choose to do a few. Some of us will choose to use chairs and some of us will have other variations we prefer. At Yoga in ME, all levels of practitioners and physical ability are welcome. If you can breathe, you can participate!
Solstice is symbolic of transitioning from the short days of winter to the bright, long days of summer. Many of the world’s wisdome traditions, including yoga, revolve around the sun, including, of course, Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar).
Take this opportunity to invite the fire of the sun into your life and symbolically burn away all that your have outgrown and all that no longer serves you.
108 Sun Salutations will be followed by Yoga Nidra.
Be like the flower, turn your face to the sun.Kahlil Gibran
This joyful community event will be led jointly by Nancy and the rest of the Yoga in ME teaching staff.
Free for Yoga in ME Members. Regular Drop-In fees apply for all others.
