Studio Status — Important Update!

May Greetings to our Yoga Community!

May 3, 2020

Hello Friends!

May is now upon us and holds much promise. As a community weathering Covid-19, we have suffered much loss and gained even more awareness. Each of us has truly realized that the only constant is changeā€¦

Governor Mills delivered her plan to re-open the State in phases earlier this week. Our yoga studio will be permitted to open on or around June 1 once Phase II begins. Suzanne, Cindy and I are developing new procedures and protocols for the studio to ensure the health and safety of instructors and students.

Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information!

Another date deserving of your attention is Saturday, May 16. In order to support our community during this time of increased need, Yoga in ME will be sponsoring a drive through food drive to benefit Footprints Food Pantry. Suzanne, Cindy and I will be clad in masks and gloves to happily receive your non-perishable donations. Please swing by between 9AM and 1PM. We would love to see you.

Although we have been physically apart for the past 45 days, you have remained in our hearts and thoughts. We are very much looking forward to seeing you on the mat in the near future.

With much gratitude,
Caroline and Suzanne

Are we there yet?

March 29, 2020

March 16th, the day the studio closed its doors due to the Coronavirus, seems like a distant memory. Every day brings a host of news updates concerning this global crisis. Just processing this information, not to mention altering daily routines, requires enormous energy.

The outpouring of support and love Suzanne and I have received from you — our community has helped us immensely. Your kind words have been uplifting and motivating. Suzanne and I remain committed to our studio as well as our vision for its future. We have accepted that some of our plans are on hold for the moment.

In addition to our plans, we will also be placing monthly memberships on hold for the month of April. The expiration date of class cards and pre-paid memberships will be extended appropriately. Your generosity to date has been incredible, and we are truly grateful.

Please continue to develop your Home Practice during these challenging times. Each of us realizes how much better we feel after practice. Cindy will be adding new content for you to access online every few days.

We will keep you posted as news becomes available.

Until next we meet on the mat, take great care and be well.

Together we will get there!
Suzanne and Caroline

Spring Greetings Yoga in ME Community!

March 26, 2020

As you know, Governor Mills has mandated the closure of all non-essential businesses through April 8. While Suzanne and I remain optimistic that this date is firm, we also realize how quickly circumstances change. While the studio remains closed, we are hopeful that your yoga tools are bringing you some sense of normalcy as well as relief during these most challenging times.

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the offerings we have posted to date to assist your developing Home Practice. We will continue to provide instruction in this manner until local and state authorities allow us to open the doors once again. Depending upon what your mind and body crave, there will be an increasing number of options in the areas of asana practice, breath work and guided meditation.

There are a number of member yoga mats in the studio. Please reach out to us if you want to grab yours from member storage. We are happy to coordinate a time for you to do so. Maybe your favorite mat will enhance your Home Practice!

Please know that Suzanne, Cindy and I miss seeing each of you, students and teachers, at the studio on a regular basis. As we contend with a deep sense of loss on some levels, each of us recognizes the strong connection we share with members of our community. In this recognition, we find renewed strength and deep gratitude.

Wishing you peace,
Suzanne and Caroline
